The
moisture in Kapas plays a vital role in processing at Ginning.
The Seed Cotton, which is too moist does not separate into locks
and tends to form wads, which are trapped between knife edge &
roller of the Roller Gin and chocks up the Ginning. On the other
hand, the Seed Cotton, which is too dry generates static
electricity and causes frequent stoppages by accumulating on the
surface of the synthetic roller of the Roller gin. It is also a
known fact that moisture level in the Kapas does not remain
same throughout the season and therefore causes variation even
in the same variety of cotton after Ginning. The Kapas from the
first picking exhibits adequate moisture in the cotton fibers,
which gets reduced in second and third picking. Therefore it is
very much essential to keep optimum level of moisture in the
Kapas during Ginning by positively controlling the humidity in
the ginning area, to get maximum ginning out-turn with
consistency in fiber quality of ginned cotton.
Hence,
to maintain the level of moisture contents, Fogging System is
required. The conventional method of fogging (i.e. use of fans)
is not suitable for Ginning due to following disadvantages. |
|
-
Uniform
spreading of moisture cannot be achieved. Hence, at some
place, fibers get excessively wet.
-
It
uses large quantity of water.
-
Power
consumption is comparably high.
Hence,
to solve above problems of conventional method & to
maintain the most desired Humidity Level in Ginning, an advanced Fogging System of High Pressure WaterJet Pump with socialized fog nozzles
is used. This advanced Fogging System offers following advantages vis-à-vis conventional method.
-
It
generates fogging and not spraying or sprinkling, which means
no water dropping and hence do not damage the cotton.
-
It
uses specialized nozzles, which allow even fogging and
ensure desired level of humidification.
-
There
is no wastage of scarce water.
-
The
minimum usage of water helps in maintaining the staple
length of cotton and as the short fibers settles down the
quality of cotton improves.
-
It
is an environment friendly method as flying fluff is
considerably reduced simultaneously restricting wastage of
cotton.
-
Quick
evaporation of sprayed water helps in maintaining cooling
level of the ginning and pressing rooms.
-
It
is user friendly and easy installation.
-
Power
consumption is too low which ultimately results in saving in
energy bill.
-
Maintenance
cost of the system is also low
